All the software to
print to an IKON-operated device on UK's Campus can be found
here. You must be on the UK campus to download these installers and to
print to the computers. These installers also currently only
support Windows OS, Mac users please go
here.
IMPORTANT: With the
upgrade to Pharos Uniprint 8.0, our Installers are no longer
categorized by building name. They are now based on which server
they reside on. With Uniprint 8.0, all of the queues utilizing
the same drivers (i.e. the Duplex queues) are linked between the
two servers, so you can essentially print from anywhere on
campus to anywhere on campus. For a full listing of which
locations are covered by which server, please see below.
CHANGING THE PRINTER NAMES:
The default printer names for these installers are similar to
'McVey Black and White Printing', which many people and
locations do not find user-friendly. Therefore, we have created
a simple Batch file that you can run and which allows you to
change the printer names (Name Change Batch File). In order to run this Batch file, you must
have administrator privileges because it requires
registry changes. It will ask you for the following bits of
information:
-
Old Printer Name - Exactly what
appears in the printers and faxes folder
-
New Printer Name - What you
want the printer name changed to
-
Description - What you wish the
new printer description to be in the printers and faxes
folder
-
Print server IP/FQDN - The
logical address of the printer server. For each servers
logical address, please see the lists below. We recommend
using the IP address. If you do not wish to change the
printer name, you must still add the logical address to the
registry in order for the Pharos Popups to work correctly,
so we have also created another batch file named Server
Reference which only does this command.
