Document Feeder Tips:

1.) Remove any paper from the scanner glass (platen) before placing originals FACE UP into the document feeder. If you do not place originals face up you will get "blank pages".
2.) This is VERY IMPORTANT--Remove paper clips, staples, taped items or other materials from the original document (s).
3.) Straighten any curls or wrinkles from your pages (as
near to a clean piece of paper as possible) before putting them
in the document feeder. If this is not possible do not use the
document feeder and copy off of the glass or make a photocopy
and place the clean copies in the document feeder.
4.) Avoid documents with tears, perforations, or punch holes.
5.) Do not use the document feeder to copy sticky documents or uncommon paper types, such as: transparencies, gummed-back paper, magazine pages, retail or grocery receipts, or lightweight (“onionskin”) carbons. We do not recommend placing any paper lighter than our standard 20lb. in the document feeders because it may jam the document feeders.
