Now you can add money to your Plus Account using a credit card!

Check out the Plus Account Office and click on the "Quick Deposit" Button.

The Plus Account is widely used both on and off campus for purchasing many things.  IKON maintains numerous DART machines on campus for adding cash to the Plus Account, checking balances, and purchasing temporary cards that can be used at any of the participating locations. The current locations of the DART machines are:

1. W.T. Young Library, 2nd Floor, Core 3 in the Hallway by Periodicals
2. W.T. Young Library, 1st Floor in the Copy Center, 3rd Core
3. W.T. Young Library, Basement in the Student Computing Services Lab
4. Business and Economics Computer Lab
5. Ralph G. Anderson Building in the Student Lobby
6. Lucille Little Fine Arts Library near the staircase
7. Education Library, 2nd floor of Dickey Hall
8. Medical Center Library near the Circulation Desk
9. King Computer Lab
10. Nursing Computer Lab

Plus Account cards will activate Copiers, Printers, Vending Machines, and Laundry Machines. They can even be used to buy items at stores around the city (Gattitown on Nicholasville Road even takes Plus Account Cards).

Below are some simple instructions for operating the DART machines along with helpful pictures:

The Beginning screen on the DART, you must select 'Start' to begin (left).

The DART Machine has three options initially (right): "Balance Inquiry", "Deposit Cash to Account", and "Purchase Card".  Everything is self explanatory and easy to follow.  A couple of things to remember:

• If you have a student ID, you don't need to buy a card.
• A temporary card costs $1.
• The temporary card starts with no money on the account.

       

If you already have a card and wish to inquire about the balance or to add money, you must select one of the option above and then insert your card into the reader as shown in the left picture. Your card must be upside down with the magnetic strip facing right in order for it to read properly. To add money, you will insert the money as shown into the bill reader presented in the right picture.

       

If you wish to purchase a card, you must select the 'Purchase Card' option and insert only a $1 bill. Any other bill will result in a loss of money. After you have purchased a card, it will be dispensed from the card dispenser in the left picture. After all of your transactions are completed, it will give you a receipt for your records from the receipt bin in the right picture.
